Entertainment now confirmed.. see entertainment page for full details.....

Food - Mushroom Stroganoff has now been abandoned in favour of nut roast... so its full carvery with meat for the carnivores and nut roast for the veggies... (All vegatables, potatoes etc will be cooked clear of meat, and veggie gravy will be provided)

The night before is confirmed that we will be meeting people for drinks at the Marsden Rattler in South Shields... contact us on the day for more info as far as time etc goes.. Will be a good opportunity for those that dont know each other to meet prior to the wedding...

The following day we will be lunching somewhere on the seafront, and then spending the afternoon on or around the beach... again more info on the day or summat.. :D

Finally... A bus will be provided from the church to the reception venue for those who have not taken transport to the wedding... So if you are staying in south shields just get the taxi or metro to the church and then the bus will be provided for the return journey back to south shields...

June 12th

Vegetarian type guys and girls... - If you havnt already can you please contact us if you are veggie... For the carnivores the food is buffet roast dinner with meat, veg etc etc.. for the veggies original menu was either mushroom stronganoff (not vegan),or the roast minus the meat... seems up north they are not too sure what a vegetarian is.. ;) Jay and I will be knocking up a couple of nut roasts the night before, or on the morning for those who choose to go down the vegetable route (like i say.. up north they dont know what a veggie is.. seemed to think a plate of veg was ok...) so erm.. mushroom stroganoff or veggie roast with nut roast (we are assured that the spuds etc are cooked seperately, and there will be veggie gravy...) but let us know so we know how much to do...

Ta Muchly....

June 7th

For those who will be in South Sheilds or nearby the night before the wedding (Friday 28th), the plan is to have a few drinks, get to know people etc in South Sheilds.. Planned venue at the moment is the Marsden Rattler, a converted train come pub/restaurant etc, on the seafront, not far from the b&b's etc etc (looks like the picture)... more details when its definate

WOW! What a weekend....

Firstly some thank you's in no particular order... Eddie for the pub, the Fish for playing so superbly, Rich for his set (despite being fairly drunk), Sparky, Denise Marie for playing such a tough crowd, and every single one of you who came for the night.. A absolutely stunning night and so great to see people from all over the country, family and freinds in one place for a very very special night...

PHOTOS OF THE NIGHT NOW ONLINE HERE

Our weekend got messier.. At 12pm on sunday sparky, rich and keith where leaving, but offered us a lift to the pub for lunch, one pint later, and after breif discussion the decision was made to head to Swindon for another night of fishy madness... A nightmare road journey later (the m4 was shut between two juntions), a lot of beer, and with no accomadation organised another great night, included Jays second appearance onstage as the newest member of the fish brothers... BIg huge thanks to Dave who despite knowing none of us, gave us aall a bed for the night, after an impromptue late night set in he house from Rich...

What a weekend.. Thank you all...

In other news Dave against all the odds, (but in true stag style) destroyed the competition in the official fish brothers, swindon down a pint compeition... havnt had time to view the footage to check the time, but it was spectactularly quick... In the words of scouse "I thought i was doing great, had half a pint to go and i turn round and dims finished"

May 26th

Following some outrageous demands by major airlines, Dan will be unable to attend the wedding and reception (he was scheduled to play with rev in the evening).. Sad, but the figures to fly him from the US where excessive.. :( Fear not, Rev is now confirmed, and he should be accompanied on the night by a musician, songwriter and producer of immense talent.. confirmation over the coming weeks.

Oh.. and one day to go until the stag and hen night.... :o

Denise Marie announced as support for the Stag & Hen Night

New Orleans singer songwriter Denise Marie will be supporting the Fish Brothers on the night, from around 7.30... Denise visits the uk regularly and is taking a break from touring to join the party :D

Dan Whillging had this to say about her most recent album... "Since settling in the Crescent City nearly a decade ago, Denise Marie has certainly become ensconced within her more humid environs while making her presence felt on the quasi-folk scene. Her third and best effort to date unequivocally demonstrates such as Marie towers in a class where few contemporaries fuse their surrounding sonic landscape into a signature folky-bluesy-jazzy, even a world-based identity. Throughout this artful baker’s dozen, Marie saunters between styles, from original muted-trumpet arrangements striking moods of dissonance to rollicking trad compositions (“Your Kiss”) and elegantly played guitar instrumentals. Her songs sweep across a wide gamut of emotions like the brief edginess of “Long and Loud” to the hopelessly romantic “I Gave You a Chance” that was inspired by jazz vocalist Blossom Dearie. She often drops great lines when you’re least expecting it: “Let’s get away from the merciless chitter-chatter of the bourgeoisie.” And then there’s the bomb song, “What Would Jesus Bomb?” that rightfully deserves its place alongside other peace anthems. There’s even a portrayal of death (“Suplicándole a la Muerte”) where a protagonist unsuccessfully battles the reaper, only to find peace and tranquility symbolized by cheery whistling. Once again, Marie raises the bar of personal excellence"

For more info on Denise visit her website, or you can download the track "Who would Jesus Bomb" here.

All the info is now up, we will update it and change it as more information is known, or things happen. If you do have any questions about locations, more details etc please either use the message board (this is partly for boardies to avoid chocking the alt-board full of us) or email us.. x
